実家がお寺の冴子と結婚し、婿養子に入った才門。義父の死後住職になったがその生活は厳しく、ついに逃げ出してしまう。ある日、才門は河川敷で自殺しようとしている女性・美沙を助けた。家まで送ると、美沙とその妹・エリは、悪徳リフォーム業者に騙され、法外な請求を受けているのだと告げる。美しい姉妹に惹かれた才門は、姉妹を助けようと決意する。一方、冴子は必死に才門の行方を探していた…。
