連邦捜査局が開発、運用しているバイオノイド18号は、科学の粋を集め造られたプラズマ機関を内蔵し、どんなミッションにも耐えうる耐久度と戦闘力を誇る人造捜査官である。人里はなれた森の中にある研究所で、己の肉体さえも改造し、様々なバイオクリーチャーを作り出す危険人物を倒した18号であったが、敷地からの脱出時にプラズマ機関を狙う巨大なヒル型バイオクリーチャーに襲われてしまう。
