2120年、約100年前から登場したお掃除ロボットが進化をとげ、お掃除アンドロイドが一般化されるようになった。過去のロボットに比べ、より精密に汚れを感知し、以前では不可能であった部屋の隅はもちろん、高所の掃除も可能となった。また、自ら意思を持つことで所有者の好みを学習し、どの程度、またどのくらいの頻度での掃除が最適かを判断できるようになった。人々にとって便利な人型お掃除ロボであったが、実際に使用してみるとやはり問題点が表面化してきた。単純な故障であるが放っておくと大変なことに…。
