主人公-本田邦彦は繁華街の外れにある古本屋でバイトしながら生計を立てている。ここでは、学生の下着を買い取るような事もしており、本田が今もバイトを続けるお気に入りのポイントでもある。売りに来る学生は皆オープンな客ばかりで、ある日、なじみの子から神待ちの事を知る。家出をする少女、泊める男、体で返す少女、見返りを求める男そんな関係を‘神待ち’と呼んでいた。主人公は彼女達の本当の意味で‘神’となれるのか。
