閑静な住宅街にひっそりと佇む古びた2階建て木造アパートの管理人・朝子は、若くて美しい未亡人だった…！そんな朝子の毎日は、同じくこのアパートの住人が起こすとんでもない騒動に巻き込まれ、ドタバタと慌しく、そして賑やかに過ぎていく。ある時、朝子は、夫の下で助監督として働いていた三平が一人前の監督になった事を知る。懸命に働く三平の姿に次第に惹かれていく朝子は、一人の女性として心を揺さぶられる。 夫を忘れたくない気持ちと、新たに芽生えた恋心。若き未亡人は、愛の狭間で苦悩する…。
