時は江戸末期…幕府から密命をうけ悪を斬るくの一隠密忍者疾風が、日本を転覆させようと企む悪の忍者集団と戦う物語。疾風は密命をうけ邪凶坊主獄煉坊の抹殺にむかう。真夜中の街道で疾風は刀を抜き獄煉坊に天誅をくだそうとするが、獄煉坊は怪しげな術を使い疾風を逆に追い詰めるのであった。
