時は清王朝の頃。貞淑な妻・玉香との夜の営みに物足りなさを覚えていた若き学者・未は至福の館「絶世楼」を訪れ、禁断の空間に足を踏み入れる。そこで未知なる秘蔵を体験した未は、自らの未熟さを悟り、禅と陰陽道により性の道を極める‘極楽老人’の弟子となることを決意。秘儀を伝授する極楽老人との交換条件として、彼の言うことを二つ聞かなくてはいけないという約束を交わす未だが、ある日、極楽老人から「絶世楼」に隠された皇帝の免罪符である‘丹書鉄券’を盗むよう指示が下り…。
