‘海賊王’と呼ばれ恐れられていた大海賊・ヴァンクラッド。その最期は自分の部下の裏切りにより、とある孤島で息絶えるというものだった。彼は自らの野望が叶えられなかった未練と裏切り者に対する憎しみから、怨念となって孤島を彷徨うことになった。300年後――新たに手に入れた肉体の持ち主・クラウスに成り代わり、王国に侵入したヴァンクラッドは、海軍の将校として、三海賊最強と謳われるオリヴィアを討つ事に。ただ、それは復讐劇の序章に過ぎず、その鉾先は、アイリス、ミレイユの王族に向けられるのであった。
