ホステスのちひろは幼馴染で売れない絵本作家・マリと同居している。ある日、ちひろが恋人・山下とデートをしていると人相占いに、近いうちに多大なる富を手に入れると言われる。その後、山下が買った宝くじが大当たり、さらにはマリの絵本までもがコンクールに入賞してしまったのだ。その噂はすぐに広まり、ちひろのあげまんにあやかろうとちひろに人々が群がって…。
