義理の父は、毎年夏が終わると出張で家を空ける。その間に義母が我が家にやって来て義母のつけた自家製の梅酒を僕と妻と三人で飲むのが恒例になっていた。そして大型台風が直撃していたこの日も、義母がやって来る予定だったのだが、雨風は次第に激しさを増して、諦めかけたその時…ビショビショに濡れた義母がやって来たのだ。妻は電車が止まり旅行先から帰る事が出来ず、僕は義母さんと二人きりで夜を過ごす事になって…。
