三年前に夫を病気で亡くし、販売員の仕事で生計を立てていたひかる。ある日、義父・康雄の具合が悪化したという知らせを受け、康雄の家を訪ね面倒を見ることにした。しかしそこにはひかるのことも忘れ完全に呆けてしまった康雄がいた。ひかるは多忙な仕事と義父の介護の両立を余儀なくされることとなったのだが…。
