マンション隣室にお住まいの見るからに香ばしい雰囲気を醸し出す住人宮下氏の事を、マジメな性格の妻は、いつも毛嫌いしていました。共有スペースでの喫煙、大声での携帯電話、ゴミの分別ルール等々、婦人会で役員をしている妻は、隣人宮下氏の件でいつもピリピリしていたのです。ところがそれからしばらくして、妻が、全住民署名入りの、「改善嘆願書」を持って宮下氏のお宅を訪問したその日以来、妻の態度に変化が現れ始めて…。
