天海蛍は、天海探偵事務所を経営する女探偵。助手である水野弥生と共に、切れた頭脳と自らの肉体を武器に、犯罪の撲滅に日夜いそしんでいた。今回の依頼人は大沼サヤカ。サヤカは父である大沼吾朗が新手のフランチャイズ詐欺にあい自殺してしまったと言う。そしてその敵を蛍たちに討ってほしいと依頼してきたのだった。社会の悪は許せないと張り切る弥生だが、蛍は何故かこの依頼に違和感を抱いていた。
