麗子は貞淑な若妻だが、秘密の仕事「口説き屋」をしていた。男女を問わず色目を使い、上手に別れさせるのが彼女の仕事。次のターゲットは貧乏小説家・甲斐靖彦で、彼に熱を上げる杏子をあきらめさせるのが目的だ。ところが、麗子の存在を知った杏子は一層熱を上げ、麗子もまた杏子に対抗するように靖彦に引き込まれいく。麗子の意地は偽りの愛を本気に変えたが、やがて意外な真実が待ち受けていた。
