結婚5年目の妻と夫婦二人三脚で小さな居酒屋を切り盛りしている僕。半年ほど前から、竹本と言う男が、ウチの店に足繁く通ってくるようになった。何でも若いのに地元の議員を二期連続で務めているような、なかなかのヤリテらしく、ほろ酔い加減で毎度のように口説いてくる竹本と、それを愛想笑いでさらりとかわす妻との掛け合いを、僕は微笑ましく見守っていた。だがある日の晩、そんな僕の余裕も消し飛ぶ衝撃の光景を目撃する…！
