父が再婚した。息子のコウタは父の再婚に喜びつつも、心の中では父と不釣合いな若い再婚相手・のぞみのことを怪しんでいた。それはのぞみが家事ができないばかりか金銭感覚もズレており、父が仕事に出た後にこっそり化粧をして家を抜け出すことを知っていたからだ。詮索することで父の幸せを壊してはいけないと猜疑心を抑えていたコウタだったが、事態は意外な形で終息を迎える。
