こじんまりとしているものの歴史と威厳を感じさせる中華料理店。店のまえではいつも多くの客が順番待ちで列を作っている。店主の周作と嫁の尚美の働きで店は大繁盛である。しかし、一人息子の凌一は毎日競馬や賭博に明け暮れるボンクラ。周作は凌一に店を継いで欲しいと言えないまま日々は過ぎていくのであった。周作は毎日野良猫を可愛がっていた、辛いことがあると猫に気持ちを打ち明けていたのだ。そんな日々も、周作の死により事態は急変する。店の跡継ぎを決心する凌一だが、実力が伴わない。挫折しそうなとき…。※ 配信方法によって収録内容が異なる場合があります。
