人より少し霊感の強い和代は東京で占い師をしていたが、ぐうたらな恋人の一郎が多額の借金を作り、取立てから逃れるために彼と共に田舎町へやって来た。滝壺で滝に打たれた和代は服とバックを流されてしまい、一郎が盗んできた巫女の着物を身にまとった。偶然通りかかった地元の名士・冨永は巫女姿の和代に一目惚れし、彼女が霊能者と聞くと自分の屋敷の離れで霊感占い商売をすればいいと勧め…。
