妻に先立たれ、一人寂しく病院を後にする万次郎。一人娘の雪江夫婦も仕事が忙しく迎えに来れなかった。ただ一人、ナースのあきおだけが見送ってくれた。その後、あきおは医師・石井との不倫が発覚、病院を放り出されてしまった。行く当てのないあきおは万次郎の一人暮らしの家へ行くが…。
